Owen did so well thanks to England's glorious failure at the 98 World Cup where he scored that blinder against Argentina. How he beat the likes of Kenny Dalglish, Bobby Moore and Ian Rush is probably down to the majority of Shoot readers being under-13.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07040171836006141706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2678247654543286315.post-4029309896120650202008-06-20T03:11:00.000-07:002008-06-20T03:11:00.000-07:00It is a shame that Shoot! is soon to be no more. Although I haven't bought it for years, it was a big part of my formative years, ripping out the team photos of Aston Villa from the centre pages (or the pin-ups of the players, back then it'd probavly pictures of David Platt, Paul McGrath and Alan McInally) and sticking them to my bedroom wall. I think the fact that football is everywhere these days makes a magazine for kids kinda obsolete. As I said, a real shame.

Michael Owen no.2 of all time?! How opinions change!Mickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00134603038522951084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2678247654543286315.post-91172950415425747222008-06-19T13:29:00.000-07:002008-06-19T13:29:00.000-07:00cool blog entry!i love hearing you ramble on about...cool blog entry!
i love hearing you ramble on about the 'good old days'...lol.
and this post is a neat way of 'diving' straight into a post to announce that other project of yours, the one i'm supposed to be 'doing'.
i will pop a picture through your letter box between now and saturday evening.
(don't do another blog entry til you get it,otherwise it will look silly).jamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14717810091895475835noreply@blogger.com
